Globular clusters

Globular clusters are spherical concentrations of the stars, having a diameter of several tens of light-years. They contain several hundred thousand to several million stars.

There are 149 known globular clusters in our galaxy. Most of them are concentrated around the constellation Sagittarius, therefore I was able to capture many of them during my summer expedition to the island Milos.
